Colie’s grounding voice will guide you through poses with full mindfulness head to toe. Her class themes are always relatable, easy to grasp and applicable on and off of the mat. One of the biggest downsides of being pregnant during COVID was missing out on bonding with other mothers & mothers-to-be and taking prenatal yoga classes. Thankfully Colie was offering a virtual pre & postnatal yoga class on Zoom! Even though I’m located in New Hampshire and Colie is in Park City, she was able to connect me with a wonderful group of mama’s-to-be while we took some time every other week to focus on ourselves, feel great in our changing bodies, get grounded and prepare for baby. Colie is so in tune with the fundamentals of the body and is able to guide everyone online just as if we were all together in the same room. She’s incredible! I recommend her classes (prenatal and regular) to everyone!

Being pregnant and now postpartum throughout the Covid pandemic has presented challenges I never would have imagined. I have found myself longing for the connection and bond that is formed between women sharing the experience of pregnancy and motherhood. I met Colie through a mutual friend and have been participating in her postpartum class since just 2 weeks after giving birth to my second daughter. Colie creates a non-judgmental and safe space that allows others to be open and free through yoga practice. Though I cherish every moment with my sweet baby girl, connecting with other women through yoga during this time of distance and social isolation has been such a gift both physically, mentally and spiritually.

I feel so blessed and honored to have found Colie to help carry me through my pregnancies both in prenatal and postpartum classes. The moment I walk into Colie's class, there is a sense of calmness in the air. It was so wonderful to have such a great teacher to guide me in my yoga practice. Additionally, Colie creates a sense of community amongst the others in the class to help develop friendships that go beyond the mat.

Colie’s prenatal yoga class was such a blessing during my pregnancy. It was gentle, yet adequately challenging, and I always left feeling rejuvenated and peaceful. My favorite part was how she encouraged the connection between mama and baby with either movements or points of focus- so special. The breathing techniques she taught were helpful both in labor and in trying moments of new motherhood. I truly enjoyed my prenatal practice with Colie and believe it played a huge role in my healthy pregnancy and easy postpartum recovery!

I would describe myself as a very dedicated yogi with 14 years of practice under my belt, but as my pregnancy progressed I realized I knew very little about what was actually beneficial for my changing body and growing baby. I also found that very few yoga teachers are trained in prenatal yoga and that attending regular group classes was not what my body needed anymore - it was time to switch to prenatal! I began working with Colie on a weekly basis at 26 weeks pregnant and it was truly life changing for me physically, mentally and spiritually. Colie taught me about what was happening in my body and how we could safely create space for my baby and strength and flexibility for me in preparation for labor. I learned amazing and safe adjustments for poses I used to do effortlessly pre-preganancy. I also learned what poses were not the best for me to be doing during my pregnancy and specifically why I should avoid them. Mentally, being guided by someone so intuitive, knowledgeable and compassionate was such a gift. I was able to let go of worry and thought and enjoy this time for myself. Colie wove in exercises that challenged and strengthened me mentally and physically in preparation for birth. Spiritually, Colie created sacred space for me to explore and honor the amazing and at times difficult transitional time of pregnancy. I was guided and supported by words, mantras and themes Colie effortlessly wove into our practices that nurtured the growth that I was going through. I am truly grateful for Colie and highly recommend her teaching to all expecting mamas as an essential part of being present to your pregnancy and preparing for labor, birth and motherhood. To me this work is just as important and valuable as your doctor’s visits!

The moment I hear Colie’s quiet calm guidance, I get into the rhythmic beathing. From that time on, I am very aware of everything: surroundings, my posture, and my thoughts. I am there right that moment. Worries and pain can wait. I don’t push them away. I don’t judge them. I just look at them. There is no waste of words in her guidance. It is steady and slow. I can move as slow as I want. I feel every moment of joy.
There is a lot of understanding and compassion in her voice. Since I am over 70 years old, there are a lot poses my body cannot do. But her voice says it is all right, just be myself. I don’t kick myself for not be able to do some poses. But she encourages gently with kindness.
After Colie’s class, I feel like I took a bath of light and energy. I don’t know where this feeling comes from. Maybe this is called meditation. Believe it or not, this feeling stays with me long after the class. I am a nicer person, understand difference in people, understand difficult situations, and want to be friends with all.
